The greatest gift you can give someone is the space to be his or herself, without the threat of you leaving.

"Your 20s are fun!"..pfft, yeah if you think being waterboarded is fun

Why is it that no one tells us “oh btw your 20s suck”? From the minute I entered my twenties its like life smacked me in the face with a freight train. I suddenly realized I couldnt occupy my time and energy doings things like drinking on a week night or spending the money I have on leisure activities. Life suddenly felt ALOT shorter. Time felt as though it just sped up and I couldnt undo the fast forward command. It seemed as though there was no longer time to waste. My thoughts now had to be consumed by my “future”;and the brain-deteriorating worries about whether not im making the right decions, how im supposed to make a decent living while still continueing my education, and when is it that I plan to move out of my parents house. Im still trying to figure all these out. If these were not already taking a toll on my soul, Im already noticing physical changes. My metabolism isnt what it used to be, I find myself with increasingly more body pains, and lets face it, even though I still get carded for cigarettes, I know my skin isnt up to par with any 17 year old (And yes I know its probably the cigarettes). Even though I feel like I have gone through many struggles in my 22 years, I cant help but feel that this hardship can only lead way to a future of great fulfillment and happiness. Hopefully thats what my 30s are for. :)

Date someone who is interested in you. I don’t mean someone who thinks you’re cute or funny. I mean someone who wants to know every insignificant detail about you. Someone who wants to read every word you write. Someone who wants hear every note of your favourite song, and watch every scene of your favourite movie. Someone wants to find every scar upon your body, and learn where each one came from. Someone who wants to know your favourite brand of toothpaste, and which quotes resonate deep inside your bones when you hear them. There is a difference between attraction and interest. Find the person who wants to learn every aspect of who you are, and hold onto them.
